MEALS
A communal dining room is provided for all meals whilst morning and afternoon teas are provided in the spacious, comfortable lounge area which can be utilised for recreational activities or as a relaxation area.
SECURITY
A security service operates for the complex and Villa staff are available 24 hours per day to assist residents. In addition, all residents are furnished with a personal alarm system (pendant) which is carried on the person and is activated simply by pressing when assistance is required.
VISITING SERVICES
Health professionals such as; local doctors, physiotherapist, podiatrist and hearing specialists hold weekly & monthly on-site clinics. Additionally the Villa has a hairdresser and beauty therapists on-site weekly for those residents who prefer not to travel.
LIBRARY FACILITIES
Large-print library books are provided from the Charters Towers Municipal Library and are exchanged on a regular basis.
PERSONAL SHOPPING
The residents have access to a personal shopper who can assist in obtaining personal items such as; groceries, clothing, gifts or attending to up town errands when required.
CAFE
There is an on-site café offering a place for residents to relax and entertain visiting friends and family. The café offer’s a small fridge, microwave and coffee machine.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Activities include:

- Exercise Class with exercise physiologist
- Organised outings for sightseeing etc.
- Movies
- Sing-along’s
- Cooking

Activities are designed to suit the individual resident and can be expanded as required.
STAFFING
Friendly, caring staff are available to assist with any service required from handling mail or messages to nursing care.
CHARGES
Resident fees are charged in accordance with the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing Schedule of Fees and Charges. The current rate is available upon request. Fees are charged fortnightly in advance. For those residents on a weekly income, fees will be calculated on an income tested basis in accordance with the requirements of the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing Schedule of Fees and Charges.
RESPITE CARE
Short-term Care – Rooms are available for short-term care (up to nine weeks) to assist people in need after hospitalisation, periods of illness or to provide carer relief.
Day Care – The facility offers a day respite program, which enables families the opportunity to leave their loved ones in our care for the day. With each day respite resident enjoying all the facility offers by way of meals and activities. Pre-arrangement is required and can be made by contacting the facility manager.
MOBILE MEALS
Residents in the Charters Towers area who prefer to live at home may access Dalrymple Villa’s community mobile meals program. The program includes affordable three-course meals delivered each day to your home at an affordable rate. (N.B – disability criteria applies).
